Supply of Services
Joe Darams Photography will provide the services outlined in your booking confirmation.
We will make every effort to deliver services on the agreed date and at the agreed location. In rare cases, delays may arise due to circumstances beyond our control, such as equipment failure, adverse weather, or other unforeseen events.
If a delay or disruption is anticipated, we will notify you as promptly as possible and take all reasonable steps to minimise the impact on your occasion.
We reserve the right to adjust the delivery of services where required to comply with any legal or safety obligation.
Booking
A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total booking fee is required to secure your date.
The remaining balance of 70% must be paid no later than four weeks before your session or event.
For bookings made within four weeks of the session date, full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm the reservation.
Your selected date and time will be agreed with us and is held exclusively for you once the deposit is received. All digital images produced remain the intellectual property of Joe Darams Photography and are protected under UK Copyright Law.
Any additional products or services requested after the session must be paid for in full at the time of ordering.
Requests to change the date or time of a confirmed booking must be made at least 14 days in advance. We will do our best to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability on an alternative date.
Payment
Payment may be made by bank transfer or any other method agreed with us in writing prior to the booking. A receipt can be provided for any payment upon request.
Failure to complete the final payment by the agreed deadline may result in the cancellation of your booking. In such cases, the deposit will not be refunded.
Delivery of Images and Products
Edited digital files will be delivered via a secure private online gallery, unless an alternative method has been agreed in writing. Galleries will remain accessible for four weeks from the date of delivery, after which they may be archived or removed.
Physical products such as prints, frames, and albums will be dispatched by courier or made available for collection by appointment. High-value or fragile items must be collected in person to ensure safe handling.
Joe Darams Photography is not liable for damage caused during transit by a third-party courier once the item has been dispatched.
Image Rights and Model Release
Joe Darams Photography retains full copyright of all images and footage produced, in accordance with UK Copyright Law. Clients are granted a personal, non-commercial licence to use delivered images for private purposes.
By proceeding with a booking, the client grants Joe Darams Photography the right to use images and footage from the session or event for lawful promotional purposes, including portfolio displays, social media, website content, and advertising.
If you do not consent to your images being used for promotional purposes, you must notify us in writing before making payment. A non-disclosure fee of 50 pounds per session or event may apply in such cases.
Any restrictions on image use must be communicated and confirmed in writing before payment is made.
Creative Discretion and Artistic Style
Joe Darams Photography retains full creative discretion over composition, location choices, posing direction, and overall photographic or cinematic style.
Specific shots cannot be guaranteed. Factors including weather, location restrictions, subject availability, and the natural flow of events may affect what is possible on the day.
By booking, clients confirm they are familiar with our body of work and trust our professional judgment to produce results that are considered, refined, and true to our editorial approach.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Clients may reschedule a confirmed booking by providing at least 14 days’ written notice. If sufficient notice is not given, the booking deposit will be forfeited.
Cancellations or date changes made within the notice period may incur additional charges depending on the circumstances and any costs already committed.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances on our part, such as illness or a serious emergency, we reserve the right to reschedule your session or, where agreed, arrange for a suitably qualified associate photographer or videographer to attend in our place.
Event Coverage
For event photography or videography, clients are responsible for providing a detailed schedule and discussing access requirements with us in advance of the occasion.
It is the client’s responsibility to obtain any permissions required for photography or filming at the event venue, including any restrictions imposed by the venue, officiant, or third parties present.
Force Majeure
Joe Darams Photography is not liable for any failure to deliver agreed services due to events beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, or significant equipment failure.
If a force majeure event prevents us from completing the agreed services for more than two weeks, either party may terminate the contract by providing written notice to the other.
Refunds and Returns
Due to the bespoke nature of our products and services, refunds cannot be issued once an order has been placed and production has begun.
If a physical product is found to have a manufacturing defect, you must notify us in writing within 14 days of receipt. We will arrange a replacement or rectify the issue promptly at no additional cost.
Refunds or returns will not be accepted after the 14-day notification period has passed.
